We are sorry if our tours don’t automatically open for you. The latest versions of Internet Explorer do not automatically enable JAVA operated tours, because JAVA is a product of Sun Microsystems, a separate company from Microsoft.
It is most likely you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, (IE) which needs to be set up to view JAVA tours. You can set up IE by following the instructions below, but actually we recommend you download the superb free Mozellas “Firefox” browser instead, which is much faster than IE in all respects, and will speed up your internet use for other things as well. Downloading Firefox is free and not detrimental to IE and you can use either as you wish.
Before you do anything you should check if you have the Free JAVA runtime environment file from Sun Microsystems, on your computer, which will enable you to view other interactive files, not just our tours. Click http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and follow the instructions, but note the test box to verify whether you already have the latest JAVA runtime environment. If you have, you don’t need to download another.
INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER:
Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools – internet options, then the security tab – custom level. Scroll down the list to ActiveX controls and plug-ins and click the button to enable “Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt”, also enable, “Allow scriptlets” also enable “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins”, also enable “Scripting of JAVA applets”. Then click OK.
Now click the advanced tab and scroll down the list to Java (Sun). Enable the button “Use JRE …….for <applets>” then click OK.
Close down IE and then re-open it, to set the new parameters. This should enable you to now view our tours, but if it does not we recommend you download the Firefox browser for a better experience.
DOWNLOAD FIREFOX BROWSER:
Click www.mozilla.com/firefox and follow instructions for downloading the free Firefox browser – click to save the file then follow the instructions to install Firefox. When this is done, if you have not been prompted to allow JAVA click on tools – options then the content tab, click to enable Javascript and Java. Then click OK.
